FAI Sonora received official recognition from UNICEF for its emergency reconstruction work after the earthquake in Mexico City in September of 1985, as well as for its work with Guatemalan refugees in Las Margaritas municipality in Sierra Lacandona in the State of Chiapas .

We also worked to reconstruct housing in the Yaqui indigenous communities affected by Hurricane Juliette in the fall of 2001.

When natural disasters occur, our commitment is to support those affected, paying special attention to the welfare of children.
