The government of the state of Sonora , through its program for Integral Family Development (DIF), is a leading body offering material assistance to participating civic organizations. It provides economic subsidies, guidance, training and supervision of public resource management through the establishment of the “Peso for Peso” program, whose purpose is to ensure that help reaches a greater portion of the Sonoran population living in conditions of vulnerability. FAI Sonora has benefited from this program for three consecutive years.

The VH group is a regional chain that covers the state of Sonora and northern Sinaloa. It currently includes 46 stores (25 VH and 21 SUPERVAL), 76 pharmacies and 5 distribution centers that support store operations, warehousing and distributing products.
