We are always worried to give money away. The same questions come running through our head. Who´s receiving the money? What are you they using it for? How much are they actually receiving? Many more such thoughts cross our minds when money is concerned. Here at FAI, and the whole of the Save the Children Alliance, believe hand outs don´t fix anything. We strongly think that the key is to use funds in a way which profits the people in need, in a long lasting and sustainable way, and not just give a ´hand out´. We take it upon ourselves to provide sustainable ways of living which will outlast FAI´s presence in a certain area. Our colony Beltrones for example, is going to be phased out in a few years, in order to support a community with greater needs. However, we are leaving behind an infrastructure which will prosper and grow after the switch. See a list of our programs, both perminant and short term here (insert link to sustainable projects/list of projects.) Examples are sustainable housing practices, water conservation techniques, small scale sustainable farming, and many more. In order to keep such opportunities available for the many communities we serve, Sponsorship is a necessary asset.
There are several ways one may sponsor or help FAI out. One may choose to sponsor a child, a program, or make a direct donation to FAI. There are also other options of sponsorship, less common, but which help us out just the same, such as: Dual Sponsorship, Lifeline Sponsorship, or Child Link Sponsorship. FAI is becoming more and more independent of Save the Children, and thus is receiving less funds, thus the need for sponsors. Details of how to sponsor, and what the different options are, are listed below. Please take sponsorship into consideration, as a little help from you, goes a long way for us.
